Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery has now re-opened but please note that some essential works are still ongoing. As such there may be changes to routes around the museum. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. Please phone 023 92 834 779 for more information.
Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-5pm (last admission 4.30pm). The museum will also be open this Bank Holiday Monday (6 May), 10am to 5pm.
Here you can take a walk through Portsmouth’s heritage, discover the world of Sherlock Holmes, see fascinating works of art, trace the history of Portsmouth FC and a whole load more besides.
The second floor of the museum, including the Portsmouth Football Club galleries, closes at 4.30pm.
Entry to Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery is free.
The galleries on the first and second floor are currently closed. This is part of an exciting project that will see the gallery spaces totally refurbished and re-open later in 2024. Keep checking back for updates.
